During Deviance lecture today, Dr Gana fused the need to have a date on VALENTINE'S DAY with Durkheim's thoughts on Suicide!
At the train station just now, there was a guy with a huge bouquet of roses passing the gantry, there was another teenager, who was mildly embarrassed when his eyes met mine, with a stuffed toy flower protruding out of his paper bag. At a gift shop which was just about to close,a man rushed in, asking if they sold ribbons. "Yes, that kind! Heng ah..." A bunch of my single friends are going to town tomorrow to celebrate. It is quite amazing, there is an energy of anticipation hanging in the air, everyone is a little excited, I think, the singles and the couples alike, over a day that is purely purely a social construct. Okay, here's to a great day of overflowing LOVE, it only happens once a year! :D

actually, i don't think i want to do a topic on religion anymore but i have some new vague ideas! i'm quite excited! what are u doing for deviance ah? anyway. after reading your letter, it has provoked a lot in me that you've gone over to the anti-institution camp because of a single(maybe not?) incident.
you know, every sentence is laden with sarcasm that it has become quite funny, whether intended or not, esp the part on how he would react to confessions of adultery or murder...:D
anyway, what i want to say is that, it REALLLLY is a strong letter and you should think thrice before sending it out. : )and yes, i feel your BOILING ANGER, every word speaks of ANGST, HATRED, CONTEMPT.

anyway, the letter would have been sent out if not for the fact that my parents work in church. :( u should have seen the way he replied me. Sigh, so disappointing that he cannot even admit he made the statement. but oh well! i'm not being anti-religion or anything, it happens to the best of us i guess, but i just think that i cannot accept institutionalized religion anymore. (except if its the church of Hello Kitty then i have a moral obligation to join them)

i didnt enjoy 15 at all..but it'd be really coool if you did something on gangs. do u have access to any? or are u a pseudo-student and a true blue gang leader? i saw cyril wong in school today. do u know that he's a teaching assistant for this brit lit module which i took 2 sems back.. grrr, i'd die to be in his class now.: (
